Established in 1838 Green Wood Cemetery is one of the world's most beautiful cemeteries and is the final resting place of nearly 600,000 persons, including some of Americas most memorable figures. Located about 2 1/2 miles from the Brooklyn Bridge, Green Wood Cemetery is 478 acres and stretches from 20th to 36th Street on Fifth Avenue.
